YAH YOU DID

Prayers and Praise to Yahweh

7-20-25

Almighty Creator
You are the one who turned darkness to light.
You are the one who made day and night.
You are the one who put oceans at war and lakes at rest.
You, oh Lord, made mountain tops white and swamps black.
You colored the skies with dawn’s first blush,
And silenced the skies in midnight hush.
You sculpted canyons with thunder’s hand,
And scattered sand across desert land.
You taught the seasons when to arrive,
And whispered to nature to come alive.
You set the rhythm, vast and grand,
And hold the world within Your hand.

Beautiful God
You filled the oceans to the rim.
You filled them all with fish that swim.
You adjusted the water to the perfect hue.
You made it reflective and ripple too.
You created waves and tides and gave them a purpose.
You called forth life that dances beneath the surface.
You whispered to whales in the deep echoing sea.
You set boundaries with grace where the water should be.
You cloaked the horizon in soft morning light,
And taught it to shimmer in silver at night.
With every current, You wrote Your name,
An artist of glory, gentle yet flame.

Holy Creator
You made flowers of every kind.
You made them colorful and lovely.
You made the trees that flow in breeze.
You dressed them in leaves that dance with ease.
You stitched the petals with fragrant lace,
And carved the bark with strength and grace.
You taught the vines to climb and twine,
To reach for sunlight as they align.
You gave the sparrow a branch to rest,
And stitched each nest with nature’s best.
You scattered shade beneath the pine,
A gentle place where hearts recline.

Amazing God
How intricately you designed us.
You detailed our DNA.
Every part with a purpose.
Every cell, every drop, every human unique.
Millions of lives all different and same,
Not a single duplicate, both wild and tame.
You etched fingerprints like poetry on skin,
And wired thoughts where dreams begin.
You gave eyes that see the world anew,
And hearts that beat with rhythms true.
You carved emotion deep in our frame,
And called each soul gently by name.
We are a living canvas, brushed by grace,
Each one a masterpiece none can replace.

Gracious God
You made the animals and called them by name.
Some with four feet and some with flame.
Some slither low and some soar high,
You taught them to roam beneath the sky.

You made them loud and you made them quiet.
Some rule the forest and some rule our diet.
Some beat drums on jungle floors,
While others hum by a burrow doors.

You crafted each with wisdom grand,
And placed them gently in Your hand.
From tiny paws to thunderous roars,
They echo praise forevermore.

Teacher God
You have shown me your word,
And given me wisdom to learn it.
You have shown me the sky,
And passion to discern it.
You have allowed my past,
And forgiveness to overcome it.
You know my thoughts.
And you generously forgive it.
You give hope for the future,
And equip me to move into it.
You have offered forgiveness,
And I have accepted it.
For no cost at all,
You gave me salvation,
and saved me from fall.

If You Can, I Can
If you can wait through generations.
If you are patient with repetitive sin.
If you can make Jericho crumble at a song.
If you can wait for nations and kings to repent
If you can raise Lazarus from the dead.
If you can turn water into wine.
If you can build an ark and save mankind.
If you can give light to the sun and moon.
If you can set clouds in flight
If you can form a child in his mother’s womb.
If you can forgive me.
I can praise you.

If You can forgive what lies in me,
Then surely—I can praise You endlessly.

Lord Have Mercy
Lord have mercy when I complain.
Please lend me grace when I run amuck.
Lord please forgive my lack of faith.
And my lapse in sanity.
Please refine my self control.
And bestow on me a quiet wisdom.
Help me Lord to gauge your plan
When I am lost and weak and spent again.

Lord, have mercy when I complain.
Please lend me grace when I stray again.
Forgive my doubt and fragile mind,
My moments lost, my peace confined.

Refine my will, restore control,
Bestow on me a quiet soul.
Help me, Lord, to grasp Your plan
When I am weary, worn, and cannot stand.

Be patient with my restless pace,
When I chase answers instead of grace.
When my heart is loud, and wisdom hushed,
When my spirit aches but faith is rushed.

Steady my hands when I reach for more,
Than what Your kindness has in store.
Slow my tongue when tempers rise,
Replace my fear with clear-eyed skies.

Mend the mess my pride creates,
And meet me where compassion waits.
Hold me close when I feel small,
Be the strength behind it all.

Teach me joy in trials deep,
And sow Your truth where shadows creep.
Let mercy reign when hope feels thin
Renew my soul again and again.

You made food tasty and good.
You clothe us in beauty and comfort.
You provide work that fits our abilities
You get us from here to there  with ease.
You map out our paths.
You direct our hopes and dreams
You paint our world in color and song.

You made food tasty and good,
A feast of flavor in every bite.
You clothe us in beauty and comfort,
Woven with warmth and tailored with light.

You provide work that fits our frame,
With gifts designed not one the same.
You guide our steps through daily pace,
And place us gently in Your grace.

You get us from here to there with ease,
Through winding roads and drifting breeze.
You map out paths with steady hand,
Each journey shaped by Your command.

You direct our hopes and dreams,
Like light that shimmers through moonbeams.
You paint our world in color and song,
With joy that lifts the weak and strong.

You fill our days with sacred things,
With purpose sewn in quiet strings.
You breathe into the ordinary,
And make it glow extraordinary.

Amazing Grace, How Sweet the Sound
With horns and strings softly weaving around.
I yearn to hear that trumpet’s abound,
Holy blast from heaven above,
Announcing that You’ve come in love,
To bring redemption without end.

How I await that radiant day,
When You return to lead the way.
And I, with humble heart aglow,
Give thanks for in Your book I’m shown
My name inscribed, forever true,
A testament to grace through You.

TRUST
Oh Lord I am troubled
I am pushed on every side.
My health is bad
My paycheck is worse
My knees hurt
My lungs are a pain.
People are fighting
Wars are breaking out
Every place is flooding
Evil lurks in every corner.
Deception is rampant.
Children are vulnerable.
Churches are weak.
Pastors are undereducated.
Neighbors are passive.
Employers are restrictive.
None of that matters
As long as I have you.

Be Still
Lord, still my life
That I have more time with you.
Lord, still my racing mind,
That I can focus on your Word.
Lord, still the demands of family,
That I can commune with you.
Lord, still my anxiety,
That I can be at peace with you.
Lord, still my heaving chest,
That I can breathe deeply in life.
Lord, still my worry and concern,
That I can trust your plan without strife.
Lord, still my fear and fright,
That I can move in confidence.
Lord, still my aches and pains,
That my attention is not divided.

Still Me, Lord

Lord, still my life,
That I may find more time with You.
Lord, still my racing thoughts,
That I may dwell upon Your truth.

Lord, still the noise of family’s call,
That I may hear Your gentle voice.
Lord, still the pulse of anxious breath,
That I may breathe deep in sacred peace.

Lord, still my heaving chest,
That I may extoll grace, not grief.
Lord, still my cares and heavy load,
That I may trust You true and complete.

Lord, still my fear and trembling heart,
That I may walk in bold belief.
Lord, still my aches and scattered pains,
That all I am is Yours, unleashed.
