Vacation Packing:
- A month before the trip start collecting every article of clothing you own and making nonsense piles and categories in the guest room.
- A week before the trip realize you have now amassed literally every piece of clothing you own in nonsense piles in the guest room. Fret about it day and night.
- A few days before the trip, randomly pull out all the stuff that is not your favorite and wont fit in the suitcase and or car, plane, boat or train.
- Two days before the trip get out the suitcases and see what will actually fit in there. Sit on suitcase and contemplate your life choices. Make a list of thing to buy for the trip because I hate all my clothes.
- Go to literally store in a 75 mile radius and panic buy everything even remotely close to my size and pile it all in the guest room in nonsense piles.
- Tidy up the house. Smirk at how efficient you are.
- Panic, absolutely freak out….pull out everything you just put away, try to stuff at least 75% of the discarded stuff back into the suitcase..and get out at least three other tote bags..justifying it in your head that it’s not a whole other suitcase..its just a little bag..or two..or three.
- Realize you never packed shoes…or toothpaste.
- Panic about what else you forgot and reassure yourself there are retail stores ALL OVER THE WORLD. Take a deep breath and add a few bucks to the travel money.
- Day of the trip, take all of the stuff to the car…realize there is still one small pocket of space where you could add some random shirt or lotion of some kind ..run back in the house and get 5 more unnecessary things and stuff them in. (just in case).
- Pull out of the driveway and overthink everything you just packed.
- Arrive at destination and wear the same thing over and over till time to go home.
